Mood board for February

I feel in love with this concept when I had seen it on rosyvogues blog, so thank you for inspiring me to do this. I just wanted to clarify that these picture are not mine, I just put a collage of some my favourite pictures that I rebloged this month on my tumblr.

pagrteI had so much fun putting this all together so I thought that I might do this every month, but only if you are interested in this kind of stuff. Please leave comments saying if you’ll like to see more of this in the future.

Since I have already thanked those two lovelies that nominated me, now I am going to answer their questions.
From Little Snowflake:

  1. What is the biggest achievement in your life?
I have passed the Cambridge PET test with distinction (and I was on a list with 5 other people who were best in my country) while I was still in elementary school and that gave me a little bit more confidence about my English skills and it kind of led me to having this blog.
  2. What is the place you have always wanted to visit?
Egypt, Italy, New York and New Zealand.
  3. If given a chance to be someone else, who would you want to be (fictional/non fictional)?
I wouldn’t want to choose to be someone else in a sense that I would be like someone who already exists. I would rather choose to change some things about myself like to be braver, calmer, anxiety and depression free etc.
  4. What part of your body would you like to change?
    My thighs and my teeth.
  5. If you were immortal, what do you imagine yourself to be/what would you be doing?
I would travel the world since you cannot really stay at one place for too long and because I love travelling.
  6. What else do you enjoy besides your (usual) hobby?
Besides blogging and writing I enjoy singing (whether is it any good I wouldn’t know), dancing (I danced ballet when I was younger than I danced hip-hop for about 5 years), reading and sometimes drawing.
  7. If you knew the purpose of your life, would you rather pick another path (choice will be provided), or continue the same one?
It depends what would be the purpose, I guess.
  8. Would you prefer Diving under the sea or Space travel? And why?
Space travel since diving under the sea seems like it would consist of a lot more complications (I don’t know why).
  9. Who would be your favorite author and why?
I haven’t found that one person who would represent my favourite author so, I don’t quite know how to answer this.
  10. What is your favorite quote?
It changes a lot but at the moment it’s Sometimes before it gets better/The darkness gets bigger and I did an song lyrics inspiration post about it (self-promotion much)
  11. What is your favourite song?
Also it changes but at the moment it is Lay Me Down by the amazing Sam Smith.

From Tezzy Files:

  1. What is your biggest blogging inspiration?
I find my blogging inspiration everywhere. Sometimes it’s from YouTube, sometimes from Tumblr and sometimes I am inspired by something that happened to me or by new pair of clothing or makeup I just got.
  2. What is your best kept beauty secret?
Always put your perfume on your hair and it’s always good to take care of yourself because you never know who can you meet and where can you meet someone. Both are from my mother dear.
  3. Describe your personal style in 5 words.
Simple, mostly black and grey. (I also did a post about My Style, a while ago)
  4. If you had all the money in the world, what would you be doing?
I would enroll into any college because I wouldn’t have to worry about paying it, I would donate something to a charity and I would buy something for my mother and grandmother.
  5. List three things you’d want to have on you if you were stranded on a deserted island.
My phone, flashlight and batteries. (Those are the first few things I could think of)
  6. Who is the one person you’d want with you on that island?
    My best friend.
  7. Name a celebrity you aspire to be.
This is such a hard question. I honestly don’t know.
  8. The genie in the lamp grants you three wishes. What will they be?
Of course to get unlimited amount of wishes (if that is possible), I would like to remember some memories and I would like to be happy.
  9. What is your fondest childhood memory?
Probably family gatherings for Christmas or something like that.
  10. Name a food dish that takes you back to your childhood.
Mash potato because I used to love it, but now I am trying everything to avoid it.
  11. What is your biggest food craving as an adult?
I don’t know if I am considered an adult with 16 years, but I would say some pasta or chicken.

From Betty’s Boutique:

  1.  What is your favourite object?
My phone is something I always need by my side, but I would necessarily call it my favourite object.

Sunday Review: Mini Lush and Body Shop Haul

This Sunday on Sunday Review I’ll be doing something different. From the title you can see that this is going to be a mini haul, so if you are up for that then keep reading.

I got this Body Shop Atlas Mountain Rose set for Christmas and instantly became obsessed with it. I adore roses and this scent is not like other ones that don’t really smell like roses. It’s like you are bathing in a bath full of rose petals. In it you get body lotion, shower gel, body mist and a loofah.

I know that probably everyone’s’ favourite lush bath bomb is this one called Twilight so I decided to try it out. Firstly the colour of the bath was amazing and the sparkles are a lovely touch, but what I liked to most was the scent of lavender which I love because it reminds me of my childhood.

This is the Drummers Drumming and it’s a reusable  bubble bar. It has two sides, one (yellow) is citrus scent and the other one (pink) smells like strawberry, more specifically like the D’Fluff range from Lush. Also those little bells are so cute, and they are making the name of this product perfect.

Rose Jam Bubbleroon had that scent of a rose that I already told you I love. Also I love that it’s macaroon shape makes it easy to use two times, and I have already used it once so in this picture you are only seeing half of the actual product.

And this is a little bonus product. It’s a heart-shaped bar for your bath. It smells like pomegranate and  cranberries. They are pretty tiny so I recommend you to use it with something like a lush bath bomb, I have used one with the Twilight bomb and they completed each other perfectly.

Are you an introvert?

I got an idea for this blog post after I watched one video that really cleared out for me that I was an introvert. I mean, I kind of always suspected that I was, but never really thought about it much because I considered it unimportant to who I am, which couldn’t be further from the truth.

Introversion and extraversion are central dimensions of human personality theories (according to Wikipedia). And by definition introversion is the state of or tendency toward being wholly or predominantly concerned with and interested in one’s own mental life. On other hand extraversion is the act, state, or habit of being predominantly concerned with obtaining gratification from what is outside the self.
Reading those definitions made me really confused so, I opted to Urban Dictionary for more definitions.
An introvert is a person who is energized by spending time alone. Often found in their homes, libraries, quiet parks that not many people know about, or other secluded places, introverts like to think and be alone. Also something very important was mentioned in the definition which I find helpful; Contrary to popular belief, not all introverts are shy. Some may have great social lives and love talking to their friends but just need some time to be alone to “recharge” afterwards. The word “Introvert” has negative connotations that need to be destroyed. Introverts are simply misunderstood because the majority of the population consists of extroverts. You see, I wouldn’t classify myself as a shy person because once I was one, but I indeed am a person who just needs some alone time to think.

Satisfied with definition of an introvert I went to see what was under the term extrovert. There I’ve found a lot definition that weren’t really appropriate, but I will show you just one that I thought describes the term best. An extrovert is someone who recharges their energy from being around people. Doesn’t mind being alone, but prefers the company of others as it makes them excited. Doesn’t mean that they are good with people or happy all of the time, but that other people’s company is important to them. Now when we clarified that let’s go into my personal relationship with these terms.

I realized that even though being an introvert doesn’t define me, it certainly affects my life approach. I had so many experience where that got the best of me, but I am working on changing that.

For instance, I would rather get lost while searching for something at a store then to ask an employee for help. Also I like shopping alone. There are some things that I don’t like to do when other people are around, like going to a busy restaurant with my friends and ordering food because I don’t like eating in front of other people, so I eat home alone where I feel better. I never need someone elses company to feel good, in fact I feel at my best when I am alone because that is when I am the most creative. Sometimes I really need some alone time to get thing right with myself, even if that just means talking to myself about things that bother me or blasting some great music through my headphones. And as I mentioned a bit earlier, it’s not shyness because I can perfectly communicate with customers when I am working or with people I know and I like to talk to, it’s just that I feel good (might I say better) by myself. Many people don’t understand this, but I don’t feel lonely because I am alone, not any introvert does.

That would be all for now. I hope you liked this and if you did be sure to like this post a maybe leave a comment down below.
