A poem for you!

And I never understood the problem of distance, until I met you.
I have never known what it means to care so much it hurts,
And all of the stories left untold, until I met you.

The sadness has run my heart for so long I couldn’t remember
What it feels to have someone like you.
Being all alone in this world full of people
I never knew what it means to care for someone like you.

Let the people talk, let them assume,
They will never know what we have
They will never understand.
And now I know how wrong I have been,
How delusional was the life I led.
