About my prom

Welcome to my prom post! This is just going to be a quick overview of the event.

So my prom was 13.05.2017 (Saturday) and I am just now recovering from lack of sleep and the amount of dancing caused by it. As you can see we had it in a beautiful location, one of the best hotels in our town. The day was perfect and sunny, we couldn’t have picked a better day to celebrate.

Now as for the fashion. My dress is dark blue with see-through and crystal details, both in front and back. I loved the idea of bare back and a dress that just follows my silhouette. This dress if from La Perla and I absolutely adore it to death! My shoes, that you cannot really see in any of these photos, are plain silver 10 cm heels from a brand called Sweet Shoes and I got them in a local store, but they could probably be found online as well. Earrings are white gold with swarovski crystals as well as my ring. My nail polish is a metallic one that I found literally the day before in a drugstore for something cheap. It’s essence and I have to tell you it really lasts a long time, but you do need 3 layers to get this colour. I also had one of those backless, strapless bras that you just stick on and pull up and I believe it did a good job, of course there where a lot of sweating but it lasted! I also had a gliterry silver bag that I bought but I have no idea what brand it is, but I am sure there is a million bags just like this one anywhere you go.

That’s pretty much it that I have to say, I hope you liked this short post about my prom. I had a blast, I stayed up all night and came home in the morning. Sleep deprivation is still happening, but it was definitely worth it!

Thank you for reading.

Restyling a Bridesmaid Dress

white

I am so excited to show you this project I have been working on for Weddington Way. I had to use one of their bridesmaid dresses as inspiration and also include it and restyle it so it could be perfect for a summer date outfit.

For this look I decided to match two shades of pink which you might not remember to pare together – baby pink and nude pink. Also I kept the accent on the shades of powder blue. I wanted something simple that can easily be recreated.
1. Dress – Weddington Way – beautiful shape and the boatneck is great for a statement necklace
2. Necklace – Mango – romantic colours and gold accents make it just perfect for this
3. Shoes – Bershka – the nude and shiny finish make then pop out
4. Bag – Asos – simple leather but gorgeous colour
5. Lips – Mac – creamy lipstick with a bit of shimmer
6. Perfume – Marc Jacobs – romantic and easy-on-the-nose scent

That is it for this project! Definitely check Weddington Way and their beautiful clothes on their site – click here ! They have everything for brides, groomsmen and bridesmaids. 🙂

SO GOOD BYE FOR NOW, MY FRIENDS (if anyone is even reading)

My Style

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Style Icon.”

So todays assignment on blogging101 is to use one of the Daily Post prompts and make it your own, and I chose the Style Icon prompt which says: “Describe your personal style, however you’d like to interpret that — your clothing style, your communication style, your hair style, your eating style, anything.”
So I am going to do that.

So today I wanted to talk about my clothing/fashion style.
I would call it minimalistic chic if I could give it a name. My wardrobe is very dear to me and it is mostly filled with black, and grey which really aren’t colours but they work for me. You know how they say that a person who cannot wear an all black outfit is weak (or so I heard)? I agree with that and I want to add that all black outfit make me feel extremely powerful and elegant without making me stand out in a bright colour or sparkles (that is only for accessories). If I really had to pick an outfit to represent me it would have to be my long-sleeved shirt that I bought from Primark, and my TopShop black skinny jeans with long black cardigan from BooHoo and of course my black cut out boots from Schuh.

I also like accessorizing a lot. Also I collect rings and now I have about 50 of them which sound really crazy, but it’s true. I believe that you cannot live without jewelry and I mostly use gold because it looks amazing on black.

Me in my all black outfit for New Years Eve

I rarely wear dresses like this because I don’t feel very confident when I’m in them but sometimes on occasions like NYE or weddings I feel like they are appropriate. This one is from Forever 21 and I paired it with a gold statement necklace so something pops out. Also over it I wore my green coat with golden buttons that I got from a local store.

I feel like this is enough about my fashion sence for now, so I’ll just go and if you have some questions or comments leave them down below in the comment section and I will answer it all.
