Mood board for September

page

I have been doing mood boards for a few months, but last month I started with the new concept of giving some information about what I did that month that is connected with this photos (that I rebloged onto my Tumblr, if you want to check it out it’s girlonfire-youtube-lover) and people seemed to like it so I’m going to stick to that.

Basically my style is grey and black clothes with super cool black (or any other dark-colored)  boots.
Usually I stay away from white clothing, but this month I have been loving my new white t-shirt from mango (as seen on my instagram)!
This month I have been listening to albums from Halsey and Troye Sivan. Both amazing and a little bit darker than pop songs go.
My favourite designer is Elie Saab.
Even though I am almost never cold, I absolutely love wearing sweaters and cardigans even if the heat is killing me.
Still waiting for a bit of alone time to have a bath.
Monet is one of my favourite painters! I have a poster of one of his paintings.

And that will be it for this month’s mood board!

SO GOOD BYE FOR NOW, MY FRIENDS (if anyone is even reading)

Writing 101 – 50 words: Is it enough?

Today we are going in medias res because I only have 50 words.
Can I say everything I need in that little amount, without digression and long sentences I love to use. Can you say anything meaningful in 50 words? Well when you have no idea what to write about you can.

Grid

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Grid.”

I really love this photo, especially because the grid reflects in what was left of a puddle. If you want to check out the black and white version which is also pretty stunning, you can see it on my instagram (url down below)!

Writing101: Day Eight – Reinvent the Letter Format

Dear me from 10 years ago,

It’s ok to be different and not to fit into someone else’s idea of what you should be. You will go through so many bad things, but it will pass and you WILL have so many good memories. Please try to be less pessimistic about life as you grow up, don’t give up on hope and don’t give up on people and trust. If you are scared to do something you love or want you don’t have to be, it will give you a bit of confidence and it will make an unforgettable memory that you will cherish forever. Also remember that nothing, bad or good, lasts forever. And I know you don’t love yourself but now you should know that I do love you, as innocent as you were.

Love,
Magdalena

Writing101: Day Seven – Hook ‘Em With a Quote

Today is all about quotes, and using the blockquote feature. So here is the quote:

“There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.”
― Maya Angelou, I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings

As a writer/blogger I always have this urge to share some of my most personal stories with my readers. Sometimes it is just because I want a raw and truthful to the maximum story and sometimes I just need to get that story out of my system and make it more clearer. Examples for both of those post are: 1) A Room With A View and 2) A Story In A Single Image.

The same way a lie eats you out, untold story eats a writer out. The struggle between keeping your personal life enough private and writing about some aspects of your life that truly are stories which deserved to be heard is present all the time. We all have those stories we don’t tell anyone, no matter how much we want to. But now I am asking you one very important question: Why are you keeping that story for yourself? Too intimate? Too raw? Too embarrassing? Too scary? Are you afraid of people actually getting to know you? I know I am!
