Munich trip in photos – Christmas on Small Town Blogger

As the month of December is coming up, so are the various advent seasons in cities all around Europe. Since I was fortunate enough to have an opportunity to go to Germany, I guess I can bring you some of the Christmas feelings from Munich in photos.

Pep shopping centre. Well, first of all, this was the first time I saw a Christmas tree made up solely from ornaments, so that was cool. And also, Primark! Yes, did some damage there…

English Garden with the Chinese tower was the first Christmas market kind of thing we visited. Took a lot of photos there, here are just a few that give the vibe of the place, I especially loved the old carousel, therefore my dramatic looking photo. Also, we (my boyfriend and I) ate chocolate covered grapes, weird but nice combo.

Marienplatz is the central square of Munich, so the centre od their Christmas market and the heart of turist sightseeing tours. All of that comes to form a very crowded place where taking a photo is very difficult, but when you are determined to make your boyriend suffer until at least one good photo is made you come up with some usable photage. Thank you 😉

Odeonsplatz is another big square in Munich, just a few minutes walking away from Marienplatz, but surely a lot less crowded, heaven for taking photos. Also, it is close to a Starbucks where we got a winter special in their cute Christmas cups.

Well, going to an all you can eat Asian restaurant isn’t really a Christmasy and/or a bavarian thing to do, but it certainly is fitting after a day of endless walks over the town and into several public transport choices Munich has to offer. Sushi and seafood certainly are my comfort food, whereas my boyfriend was more set on “real” meat.

Yes, that’s all. A quick where have I been update thourgh photos. Next Christmas post coming up Thursday or Friday, until then check out my insta for more of my content.

My summer outfits

I just wanted to make a short post about what outfit pieces I have been loving lately and to show you where they are from, so this is kind of a small try-on haul if you think about it. This is going to be super short but I hope you like it and feel at least a bit inspired. 🙂

If you have been looking at my insta (@smalltownblogger) you probably already saw this outfit. These pants are crazy awesome and I got them at Pull&Bear on sale during the after Christmas sales, but I am sure there are a lot of similar pairs in high street places like Zara, H&M, etc. The shirt is new, a gift from my boyfriend (therefore the heart on the shoulder, I know  🤣), this one is from H&M but I think it sold out. Shoes are the Puma suede platforms I have been loving for over I year now, as well as my trusty Snob sunglasses.

Okay, so these are two outfits but the central piece is the same so I decided to put them together. It is a two piece set of a crop top and skirt from Missguided that I actually thrifted (and that was my first thrifting ever!!), I can’t believe I got them both for like 7€ maybe even less. First outfit version is more casual with my leather Converse and my jean jacket from Mango that I got maybe half a year ago, something like that. The second outfit was my special date outfit and I completed it by a kimono from Yamamay (that was actually also thrifted) and some platform lace-up shoes from Mass.

The last outfit is probably the simplest and personally the cutest. This is my new floral summer dress from Zara I got a few months ago and couldn’t wait to wear it. I completed the look with my new red sunglasses I got in Muller and my new black mules which are unfortunately not in the picture.

That would be all for today folks, I hope you like this short little post/haul/I don’t know what it is. Thank you for reading!

Long time no see. I haven’t posted in months and really I don’t have a good explanation for myself.  This post has been in the making for almost a month, but it seems like I could bring myself upon publishing it for some reason. So, this is going to be my second post this year, and consequently the second outfit inspiration of the week. I am planning to publish my Munich trip post in a span of a week, but will see about that won’t’ we. Without further digression here are my outfit details.

First, of course, we have to give props to my amazing coat from Mango that I really got a lot of use these past few months, but I also have to mention that this particular day was the last day that a coat could be worn since after that day the weather got so cold that there was no way you can survive in a coat. I really love the fact it is grey and not black because, as you can see in the photos, it breaks up the color scheme perfectly.

I cannot hide how obsessed I am with my over the knee boots from Mass. I honestly don’t wear them as often as I would like it, but when I do my outfit is next level good. They are black and heeled so they can bring every outfit up, on a dressier side, especially with a dress or a skirt, like here.

The skirt is from H&M, I got it this summer, but I have been wearing it all year, through all seasons, so definitely money well spent. The zipper in front has been a huge trend last season and judging by outfits on Instagram that trend will keep on growing this season, which is fine by me. The thing with these types of skirts is that you can wear them equally with tight and flowy shirts without it looking too much, so you can basically combine it with almost all shirts from your wardrobe and it will look good.

The shirt is also from H&M, it is actually a cropped shirt so it looks like I had to tuck the excess material in, which is something you can do but here that was unnecessary. I personally don’t really own a lot of shirts in color, especially red ones, so this shirt really stands out both in my wardrobe and this outfit.

My bag was featured in plenty of my past outfit inspiration posts, so if you are a regular reader you already know all about it. It is a simple black crossbody bag with some studs. What is new about it is a keychain that I attached to it. The keychain was a birthday gift from my boyfriend, and it is a fussy bordeaux heart.

That will be all for today, the photos were taken in Zagreb’s Zoo by my boyfriend. We spent the whole day there as a cute date before my birthday. Needless to say, we had a lot of fun and were happy like a couple of children the whole time.

Tights: New Yorker
Shirt: Stradivarius
Coat: Mango
Boots: Zara

First outfit post of the year. We are starting pretty much the same as we did last year, so nothing crazy and new. Definitely a different style and location, that’s true, so keep on reading if you want to get a closer look at what I am wearing.

I cannot ever say enough about this amazing coat I got in Mango, it’s so simple but stylish and it brings every single outfit together. I never thought my petite body could look good when wearing a long coat but this piece proved me wrong. A great investment definitely!

Again my classic ripped jeans with some glittery tights underneath so I am warm. Just love how this looks, I mean every interesting pair of tights work, but these ones are my favorite because they are a detail that elevates the whole look to be a bit more put together. And let me tell you, I found them in my wardrobe because I wore them maybe once a few years ago and now I am wearing them almost every single day. Sometimes hoarding clothes pays out.

My new boots from Zara are another addition to my ever-growing collection of boots, but these are the ones that I probably wear the most since they are black and not heeled. The studs make them a bit grungy which I like. In addition to that grungy little moment, I added some black stud earrings.

Last, but definitely not the least, my new sweater from Stradivarius which is probably the most loved item in my closet right now. It is so soft that you feel like you are wearing a blanket and all you want to do is to rub your face on it. The color matches my neutral palette when it comes to clothing so I have many combinations to wear it with.

That will be all for now. These beautiful photos were taken by my amazing boyfriend on our walk around the Blue Lake. Had a great time and got a lot of great photos, there is no better than that!

Winter fairytale – Outfit inspiration

IMG_20171216_225351.jpg

Boots: Le Edo, over the knee
Jeans: Zara Woman
Bag: Local store
Coat: Mango
Shirt: Zara

Long time no post. But I cannot miss posting at least one blog post for a Christmas series I usually do every year. This year you will get a winter lookbook (this post and maybe one more before New Year’s Eve, and resume of the advent in Zagreb. Let us start with this post right away!
First of all, I have to highlight my new over the knee boots I purchased this Black Friday. They were 50% off and just what I was looking for; classic, black and with a bit chunkier heel so they are as comfortable as they can be. I am in love with them, they can spice up absolutely every outfit and are worth every penny. To see them for how they actually look and how I style them be sure to check out my Instagram or at this link HERE!

Now for my classic Zara ripped black jeans that were featured a couple of times in my previous Outfit Inspiration posts. Since it is a bit colder now I opted for wearing some shiny tights under them so they can pop out at times. A classic with a twist ;)! Also, something that has been featured numerous time on this blog is my black bag with studs, so to check that out look at some previous outfits (linked below)

This soft green shirt is also from Zara and I purchased them on pre-fall sale for a ridiculously small amount of money. The color pops in every outfit and it also has rips on both elbows as well as a big pocket in front. And on top of that it is also slightly cropped, so it definitely one weird and unusual cool shirt you have to have!

And possibly the best item on these photos saved for last. My magnificent grey long coat from Mango. Changing a climate from cozy to harsh winters pushed me to buy new outerwear to survive the degrees under the zero in Zagreb. This coat has been my savior and I am thankful for it every day. It is so classic and stylish, it goes with everything and it keeps me worm. What more can a girl ask?

That will be all from me for today. Want to know more about the location of photos up, be sure to wait for my Must see locations in Zagreb – Advent 2017 coming out in a week or so. Happy holidays folks!
