Mini MAC collection/haul

This will be just a short post about MAC lipsticks I own! Not really going into a detail review, but rather just some necessary information.

  1. Rich & Restless – it’s a retro matte liquid lipcolour that is really intensely pigmented and it kind of looks like orange and pink when it’s on. It is not a shade for everyone, but the consistency and lasting of this matt liquid lipstick is amazing. It is not drying and it stays forever, but however there is no way you can put any other product over it because it smudges into a weird-looking thing. If you are not too fond of using more than one lipstick and layering, I definitely recommend you to try these matte lipcolours.

  2. Viva Glam II – the first thing I got from MAC is this beautiful shade. What is really amazing about it not just looking at the not traditional packaging but the red and black combo you can see,  is that every cent from the Viva Glam lipsticks goes to MAC’s AIDS Found. Definitely a perfect nude colour that is not as pinkish as the Velvet Teddy, but still looks great on. This is a satin lipstick which means it is semi-matte, so definitely a perfect starter lipstick!

  3. Velvet Teddy – a shade everyone is crazy about, for a good reason. It is matte and not drying and it doesn’t look that matte because the formula is great, so nourishing and rich. Perfect soft pink colour that goes with every make up look, and looks amazing on all skin tones. Grab it the next time you go to MAC, especially since it is usually sold out.

  4. Sophisto – probably my favourite one. The lustre formula (semi-gloss finish) looks great on. It is shiny and a bit glittery with a hint of purple. If you are beginning to wear purple lipstick this is the one you should start with if you want to go gradually since it’s kind of clear, meaning that it resembles a bit more pigmented purple lip balm (for example Maybelline’s Baby Lips in Electro).

Italy Fashion and Beauty Haul

So today, as promised, I will show you a few things I bought while I was in Italy! You can also check my London haul I did a year ago if you want to! Now, let’s talk about the products 😉

img_3339
I didn’t expect to stumble upon a Sephora in Rome, but I did so I bought some benefit products including this eyeliner pen. It takes some time to get used to the design and holding it in your hand because the tip is really different from other pens, but once you are used to it you realise how amazing this pen is. The consistency is something in between a regular eye pencil and a gel liner, and also it is really long-lasting, almost waterproof! It is pretty expensive, but I think it is worth the money.
PS: If you are going to get this product I would highly recommend buying a waterproof eye makeup remover.

img_3343
I heard so many great things about this mascara, so naturally I decided to try it! First the nice lady in the store offered to put it on herself and when she did I was really impressed with the curl and length of my eyelashes. After that she introduced me with the eyeliner pen I already mentioned and some other benefit products and did a great makeup look on me! So I got both, the mascara and eyeliner! This is the Swarowski edition mascara, but I doubt it is any different form the regular one.

img_3344I have to admit that I never heard of Kiko cosmetics before I found myself in one of their stores somewhere in Rome. I instantly fell in love with this lipstick from their Ultra Glossy collection in 819. It was on sale so it was very inexpensive. What I particularly liked about it is that it has SPF 15 and how rehydrating it is.

img_3345
One of my goals of this trip was to buy a MAC lipstick and I did that! This is one of theirs satin lipstick in VIVA GLAM II, it is a pinky nude shade with a bit of sparkle. It looks great on my lips and with my skin colour and it is pretty long-lasting.

img_3347

This isn’t something I bought, but I still decided to include it in this haul. The makeup artist in Sephora gave me this as a gift, I don’t really know why but I was very thankful, and then on the cash register the lady gave me a Chanel Chance perfume sample, so all in all I really liked Sephora and people who worked there. Haha! 😉

img_3349
This bracelet I bought when I was in Pompeii because it was pretty and black. The woman said that the beads are made from Murano glass and volcano rock, this latter I doubt, but it’s still a pretty bracelet.

img_3352
This was the product that made me really love Kiko cosmetics. It was also on sale for less than 2 € and it is honestly the best nail polish I ever tried. It has beautiful shine with only one coat and it lasts for days once you put it on. I can’t wait to go to Venice to buy dozen polishes from Kiko. I belive this is in the shade 486!

img_3353
You can’t even imagine my surprise when I saw Yankee candles through a window of a small shop in Orvieto! I immediately got in and bought three candles. First I thought I would keep only one for myself, but then I decided to be a little selfish and I kept two. They smell divine and last longer than any other candle I had.

img_3430
I was searching for black boots with a small heal so I can have boots I can literally do anything in. These matched my every single desire so I bought them from H&M and they were very affordable. After I wore them for the first time I discovered that they are insanely comfortable.

img_3509
This black faux leather jacket was a great find in Zara. It doesn’t really photograph well on its own, but I love it. It has zippers on both sleeves and a peplum bottom.

img_3514
And the best for the end! This navy coat is also from Zara. It is structured so it really makes your waist look amazing, and what I also like was that it can be buttoned on both sides and as far as your neck. Perfect for the colder months.

Summer Fashion and Beauty Haul

As promised in my Summer post, here is my Summer haul!

I went shopping a few times because I needed some new goodies for this summer. Here are some!

img_0772

I bought this crop top in Bershka. It was pretty cheap, and I like the length since it comes to my belly button so it’s not a very short crop top. Also I am loving how it looks with my new overalls!

IMG_0773

These are the overalls that I previously mentioned. I got them from New Yorker and I am totally obsessed with them, especially that they are black. Also they are in ever store this year, so I can already tell you overalls are going to be a big trend.

img_1024

Also from Bershka I got this new pair of high-waisted light denim jeans. They are stretchy and so comfortable. Also very inexpensive.

img_0999

Here we have my new bag from H&M, it’s a black faux leather bag with gold details and I love it so much. I take it everywhere because it’s the perfect size. Also on the photo you can see my new sunglasses from New Yorker. They were on sale and they are kind of like cat eye sunglasses but a bit more round so they are pretty much fit for any face shape.

img_0775

I got these sandals from Humanic. I was looking for a perfect pair of black sandals everywhere and these ones were the only ones that I fell in love with. They are very comfortable once you break them in and also they have a little heel which means a lot to me because any kind of totally flat shoe makes my feet ache.

img_1023

I had to get a new Iphone mask since I went from Iphone 5 to Iphone 6 and I bought this one from New Yorker. It’s cute and black, so I love it. It is as simple as that.

img_0750

It’s summer and every girl who has oily skin needs a good primer. I saw this L’Oreal one in my local drugstore and decided to pick it up. The product by itself is fine. It primes your skin, makes makeup get on easier and even holds it on for a while, but it more like a going out primer then one you will wear to work. However, my mother who has dry skin said that is working great for her, so if you also have dry skin you’ll might want to try it.

img_0749

This product is amazing. I had this exact Art Deco primer last year while I worked and it really makes your makeup last long. Even when you get a bit oily your makeup stays even on your eyelids. It is on a pricier side, but I know a lot pricier product that don’t work nearly as good. I think I might do a full review of it on one of my next Sunday reviews.

img_1018

I want to get my hand on Maybelline‘s color tattoo eyeshadow for a long time. This one is in shade Pomegranate Pink and it looks great with my eye colour (since I have blue-ish green eyes, not every colour suits me). Also it lasts all day which is amazing, you really get what you paid for.

img_1016

I ran out of my Rocket mascara from Maybelline so I decided to try the Lash Sensational. Although it makes my eyelashes very long and curved I still prefer the Rocket mascara.

img_10171

I also restocked one of my most used compact powders and it’s Maybelline‘s Affinitone in the shade 17. I am probably going to need a new darker compact powder so if you have any recommendations that would be great. I mean this one does the job well, but I want a little bit of change.

That would be it for my short Summer Haul. I hope you enjoyed it. Thank you for reading!

Sunday Review: Bourjois Healthy Mix correcting concealer

Today on Sunday Review I am reviewing Bourjois Healthy Mix correcting concealer

page

After I used every little drop of my Wake Me Up concealer I thought that I would never find anything like it and I obviously couldn’t repurchase it since there are no place in my country that has Rimmel products.I was so wrong. When I went shopping with my friend I decided to go into the nearest drugstore and pick up a concealer and that’s when I have stumbled upon this one. I bought it and instantly fell in love with it. The consistency of it is amazing, the smallest amount which is possible to take out of the tube is enough to cover my under eye area and every other redness. It also has a beautiful sent because it apparently has some fruit mix (apricot and raspberry) in it. Coverage is amazing and on days when my skin is good I only wear this concealer. When I first saw it I though that it’s extremely small but don’t be fooled by packaging, this tube contains 10 ml and Wake Me Up concealer has only 7 ml.

Only downside is that it is somewhat expensive for a drugstore product, but it’s still affordable enough for me to actually buy it. And I also prefer the Wake Me Up concealer only for its applicator, but this is a close second.

Rate:4/5

Sunday Review: Mini Lush and Body Shop Haul

This Sunday on Sunday Review I’ll be doing something different. From the title you can see that this is going to be a mini haul, so if you are up for that then keep reading.

  page

I got this Body Shop Atlas Mountain Rose set for Christmas and instantly became obsessed with it. I adore roses and this scent is not like other ones that don’t really smell like roses. It’s like you are bathing in a bath full of rose petals. In it you get body lotion, shower gel, body mist and a loofah.

img_4941

I know that probably everyone’s’ favourite lush bath bomb is this one called Twilight so I decided to try it out. Firstly the colour of the bath was amazing and the sparkles are a lovely touch, but what I liked to most was the scent of lavender which I love because it reminds me of my childhood.

img_4943
This is the Drummers Drumming and it’s a reusable  bubble bar. It has two sides, one (yellow) is citrus scent and the other one (pink) smells like strawberry, more specifically like the D’Fluff range from Lush. Also those little bells are so cute, and they are making the name of this product perfect.

img_4945

Rose Jam Bubbleroon had that scent of a rose that I already told you I love. Also I love that it’s macaroon shape makes it easy to use two times, and I have already used it once so in this picture you are only seeing half of the actual product.

img_4948

And this is a little bonus product. It’s a heart-shaped bar for your bath. It smells like pomegranate and  cranberries. They are pretty tiny so I recommend you to use it with something like a lush bath bomb, I have used one with the Twilight bomb and they completed each other perfectly.
